Well from what I heard were going though the Dark Rift sometime between the years of December of 2012 to may of 2015.

Now from I know the Dark Rift is the center of our galaxy, and in the center we have a Super Massive Black Hole and some are saying that perhaps our stars in the sky will change when we pass though it.  Because as we all know gravity bends light, so do you think that our night sky will change because of that?  And also what your take on a “True mantle polar Shift” Some claim that it might happen when the mantle slides and the poles change literary, I for one don’t really think it will or can happen, but I do know a magnetic Polar Shift can happen.  But don’t really think it will happen in my lifetime. 

So what do you all think might or will happen Use your imagination if yea have to, we as humans have never been though the rift to record of it happening.  Also use good old science to I ask this because my knowledge isn’t as good as yours and I’m wondering what others think about this.  

I have seen or read no evidence that our Solar System is ever likely to pass through the center of the galaxy. It is in orbit around the galactic core several tens of thousands of light years distant from it.

As to conjecture about what is possible at some point, when the Andromeda galaxy and the Milky Way merge (some few billions of years in the future) it is possible that the gravitational disruption which ensues might fling many stars out of their orbits ... some might even escape their home galaxies.

Nothing remotely likely this is possible within the next decade.

The Earth's geomagnetic poles shift constantly. If you mean "flip" (as in a N/S swap), this also apparently is cyclical (and there is evidence in the geological record it has happened many times). It likely would not lead to any sort of calamity for humankind. It certainly would confuse migratory wildlife ... some animals seem to be following magnetic field lines during their annual treks.

No I don’t think there will be any sort of calamity either but I’m manly talking a bout the theory of it as well, and what your thought on it are. Heres a Video link on the theory and no I dont think all or any of it any of it for that matter  is all fact

On a side note I don’t believe in this NiubblU or whatever is called  also I don’t think the end of days is 2012 all I’m asking is “what if” and what are your thought on the theory.   

OK, first of all, YouTube is hardly a credible source for science. While there is some good stuff there, do consider the source. This video was edited by a guy with more time, than science, on his hands.

Whenever I hear words like "all" (as in all galaxies are flattened discs) -- definitely not true -- and "perfectly clear" (as in the Mayan calendar and galactic plane crossings are in perfect agreement) in these things, it raises my antennae.

I won't go to the trouble of debunking it all, but I will just give you a start on your own research into it:

• Yes, the Solar System passes through the galactic plane periodically.
• Yes, this might cause us to encounter gas and dust clouds.
• What is the period of our passages through the plane?
• How does this correlate to Mayan prophecy?
• Has it happened even once during recorded history?
• When is the next plane crossing to take place?

Dig around a little at real science sites to find the answers to those questions.

Please state your evidence and rationale.  How did you determine those specific dates?  The galactic center is 30,000 light-years away, meaning even if its black hole could travel at the speed of light (it can’t) it would take 30,000 years to get here.   

Regarding the video, there is no “clear” connection between the Mayan development of a calendar and real physical events.  Their science was only advanced enough to create a calendar.  They only produced calendars that would serve up to a particular date, but that hardly implies the end of the world or other calamities.  Even if it was supposed to, how would they know such a thing?  Most modern calendar makers don’t produce any to be used beyond the end of the following year, but that does not imply frightful events to follow.

Passage through the galactic plane results in virtually no gravitational effect on bodies in the solar system.  Ignore authoritative sounding announcers, pseudo-researchers, sensationalistic writers, zealous video producers or ancient texts.  Some folks will stoop to anything to earn a buck.  Science does not depend on the voice of authority, but on solid evidence tied into a rational theory.  That video was produced by the kind of charlatans who prey on credulous woos who “want” to believe in scenarios that sound cool or scary.
