    Life's a beach

Spent a little time at the beach this evening. The weather has been great, especially as the sun sets. Normally I'm not much of a beach going person. But this time of year in the evening when the crowds subside and the temperatures drop to a more comfortable level, I do enjoy the serenity of the calm seas and the sounds that accompany them.

The beach I go to runs more southwest to northeast, than south to north.  First image is the view from behind the beach as the Sun went behind some clouds. and the next two were taken about 20 or 30 minutes later as the moon revealed itself.

Nice pics!  I can't get enough of the beach.  I'd be there all the time if I lived close to one.

Very nice images.  I live near the beach here but I rarely go this time of year as it is too hot and overcrowded with tourists.  Fall is much better.

Thanks for the look off the other end of the continent.

My Sentiments exactly..   Evenings, Early Mornings or the Off Seasons are the best times to visit the beach..   I'm not much into the crowds, or sun worship. I burn too easy!

I should head down near the beach this afternoon. With a big storm brewing just south of us sending bands of thunderstorms over our coast line, I might get a chance to catch a water spout. They are quite common when storms move in closer to the shore.
