    STS-124

Who's watching? I absolutely love following shuttle missions on NASA's website. Especially when the action is being broadcast live. I cannot wait for the upcoming Hubble mission. I could watch this stuff 24/7.

Yup! They're on their way again. Don't care how many times I've seen a launch, it's always a thrill to watch.

OK, I'm not really complaining, but why does NASA have to reduce coverage of Phoenix because of STS-124.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be just as unhappy if STS coverage was upstaged by Phoenix.

I want it all and I want it now!

I kinda feel the same way.

It is ethnocentric!  People simply care more about watching astronauts in possible peril than in robotic probes.  Think about it.  Most Americans are probably more familiar with the ISS' balky toilet than with a robotic arm digging into ice.

NASA knows this too and has always pushed for manned spaceflight over scientific probes when the chips were down. The old saying from The Right Stuff is most apt: No Buck Rogers, No Bucks.

Not sure which I enjoy more - Liftoff or Landing. Congrats NASA.
