Hi Folks,

 I recently bought an RB-70 Meade Telescope (achromatic refactor) and loved looking at planets/stars....I was wondering if I could use a Webcam (Creative Webcam NX) with it?

 I tried the usual approach removed the lens,  converted a 35mm Film Box into an adapter and hooking it to the telescope (without the eyepiece)....It doesn't seem to focus at all? Am I doing something wrong?

 I also tried the other approach of afocal photography by keeping the lens on the webcam and attached it on top of the eyepiece....got to see little dots but no clarity...at all

I am using Creative Webcam NX 

I dropped the Erecting Prism from the telescope (Achromatic Refractor Telescope 70mm) and that seems to have worked the trick.....so, just the telescope and the 35mm Film box + CCD webcam chip box....and I am all set!  ( NO EYEPIECE)

 I noticed with the eyepiece, the images seem to form inside the eyepiece - making it difficult to use the CCD chip webcam set....as it's always out of focus....

 I noticed the same with the erecting prism....the image seems to form way outside the focus range....requiring an extension tube to fous the image onto the CCD..I experimented using my Bounty leftover cardboard tube (Paper Towel)
