    Whitepeak Observatory; an alternative design

Interior View.  This little rotating roof observatory cost me about 1000$ in materials to build in 2005. I created this design because i wanted a covered observatory for dew protection but didn't want to deal with all the construction complexities of the curved surfaces of a traditional round dome.

Thanks. :)  It is a 80/900mm achromat.  Actually, the AR-5 is "retired"; I now have a 152/1200 main instrument with the same guidescope.

Thanks for letting us see your design. It is quite ingenious. I also enjoyed looking about your web site.
