Finally, nothing but clear skys and thanks for everyones help on setting up my scope.
Me and my son was out from 11pm to 1:30am star hopping. We didn't observe too much but was enough to make me happy and also really sparked my sons interest!
And the list:
M15
Kemble's Cascade
Moon finally rising up around 1:10am
2 shooting starts, both heading East.
And finally Uranus. Downside, in my scope, even at it's highest mag, which is 250x in a 5" reflector, all it appears is as a small greenish star.
The best of the spots we saw last night was Kemble's Cascade. My eyes stayed glued to the eyepiece and binos when observing this along with M15. And felt good that I knocked out 1 out of 110 objects haha, so, 109 left to study and find!
Tonight, eventhough it's clear going to give it a break. My wife is currently at 8mos in our pregnancy so. . .going to remain inside and watch movies with her and the kids.
If next weekend is clear like this weekend, we plan on having an all nighter Saturday :)
Thanks for everyones help!!!
