Your post reminds me of a hypothesis that I read a while ago, a level one Universe, in this level one, our own Milky Way galaxy is our one Universe or bubble, and we are separated from the other Galaxies or bubbles that we can observe, by the physical limitations of relativity.

In this scenario all the other galaxies comprise the (multi verse) or (Bubbles), each galaxy is a bubble universe of it's own, and the space between them is constantly expanding, although we can see these other Universe's called (Galaxies) we can never go there.

When we see other galaxies colliding, these are the bubble collisions or brane collisions that form new Universe's or galaxies.

Although I don't buy that, it is an interesting concept nevertheless.

As far as Time Travel, there is work currently going on by Dr. Ronald L. Mallett. This involves the phenomenon of frame dragging with a circulating beam of light, and it is achieved by stacking a large number of lasers in a continuous interconnecting ring of light. This way Information or data can then be dropped in, and frame dragging will allow the info to be sent back wards in time.

Here is a link to his web site, http://www.phys.uconn.edu/~mallett/main/main.htm

And a Wiki entry, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Mallett

And this one, http://www.phys.uconn.edu/~mallett/main/time_travel.htm

The time travel comment was sort of a joke, but one of the issues raised.

1. Could branes be spherical?

2. Could the spheres be nested (harkening to some ancient models)?

3. Do an infinite number of universes exist?

4, Could it be possible that all fractions of all instants (i.e. all moments of all space/time senarios) past, present and future exist simultaneously? Does everything possible exist somewhere sometime for eternity with no beginning or end.

5. Could any of this be proved mathmatically?
