&lt;p&gt;The advice you have received so far is pretty good. You should also be able to find lots of material on the www. I have seen lots of telescope building sites; some give pretty good details, others are a bit vague. Just try searching the net as a first step in your process. If you can&amp;#39;t find what you require on line, then hit the librabry and find the already mentioned books. Richard Berry wrote a great 3 part Dobsonian building article in the&amp;nbsp; June-Aug Astronomy issues (1980). You could try to order a reprint. You can also look at my website (address in the signature). This will give you an overview of what you are getting into.&lt;/p&gt;
