I would consider the 76oz. weight of the binocs. You don't want to be too top heavy. You would cry long and hard to see that beautiful instrument smashed on good old terra firma. Scary huh? [:0][:0][:0]

about 2 Kg on www.adorama.com is also great for Fuji binos?

Although i have the uncanny ability to hold a binocular of this mag steadily most cannot. I do not have six fingers, but i must be some kinda mutant. A tripod is an absolute necessity. I recommend the Slik Pro 700 DX AMT. Adorama has them for $129.95 although they are out of stock at present. www.adorama.com

You will have no problem with these binoculars. Their excellence is par none. I do have a problem with the price quoted from the Birding Optics Company though. You can get a far better deal from www.astronomics.com, or www.adorama.com, or www.bigbinoculars.com. $599.50 from Astronomics.

Fujinon binoculars

I want to buy Fujinon FMT-SX binoculars.
Fujinon 16x70mm FMT-SX's prism is BK-7 type as in webpage

BK-7's quality isn't better than BAK-4.
I got a message from a website

"Most optical prisms are made from either BK-7
(borosilicate) glass or BAK-4 (barium crown) glass.
BAK-4 is the higher-quality glass and yields brighter

Does anybody can tell me if 16x70mm FMT-SX's
exit puple is round with dark edge and its quality is
for astronomy?
