Hello,., I have been visiting another astronomy web site over the past month or so,.,it is "astronomyforum.net".,,but for the past week the web site won't load up.,.,is that the proper way to say it ? the little box on the bottom of my screen gets about half full of the little green squares but no more.,.,I have waited up to 5mins. for it with  no luck.,.,I have slow dial-up service.,.but before last week I had no problem accessing this web site.,.,I was hoping someone could try and tell me if you get through or not.,.,thank you ,,..O+O

Worked fine here too.

You might try to clean up your files by going to the control panel and deleting the cached temporary internet files and maybe some cookies you don't use.  Sometimes this can clog up access as your computer struggles to open a bunch of useless add-on junk.

If you have done this already then maybe one of the computer wiz kids here can lend you a hand.

Hello again.,,well I finally got things straightened out here..,,my ISP had me do what you said Leo.,.,but on a larger scale.,.,still no luck,.,next time I talked to them they said my connection speed was way to slow,.,,a problem in the phone line.,.,that guy was right,.,,and after having to get the phone company out here twice.,.( I'm at the very end of the line )..,things have gotten back up to speed.,..( a wopping 26.4 kbps.) ,.,.,and I can now get that website..,,my ISP said that not getting just one site was very uncommon,,,.well I guess I should be greatful that it wasn't my favorite Martha Stewarts ,.,."Cell Decor" website.,..,thanks again for your help guys.,.,.O+O

Make sure temp files cleared. Dial-up main prob, but chek anti-virus, too. Slo connect time often leads to brain fog in computer. Once it stalls it has major prob continuing, locks up. See CPU speed: too slo? Just a thought.
