    Did Jupiter have an encounter with a (mini) black hole?

    Not likely. The IRT team in Hawaii imaged sunlight reflecting from dust particles over the impact scar, indicating the impactor was probably a comet or small asteroid.

    A mini-black hole wouldn't have left that sort of signature ...
