    Taking Pictures

Those of you who have successfully taken digital pictures of constellations and planets, are they discernable by others looking at them?  I ask because I've taken several pics which turn out more distorted.  In the past, I even took some of comet Halle-Bopp but it didn't turn out as great as some I've seen.  I have a much better camera now. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are several very accomplished astrophotographers (world-class ones!) who post here on the Forum, and there are a great many more of us who are still climbing that learning curve -- which can be quite steep depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

There is also a nice Gallery of member images here.
