I just picked up a 114x900 mm Galileo reflector off of Craig's List for a good price (I got it pointed at the moon, and the image was clear and sharp). Unfortunately, it did not come with the finder scope or any manuals. I Googled "Galileo Telescope." The only site I found that looked like a manufacturer's site was www.galileotelescope.com, an outfit in India. I also found many Web sites where telescopes are sold ("vendor sites"). My confusion is that none of the telescopes on http://www.galileotelescope.com/ look like the telescope I bought, but I found many Galileo telescopes on vendor sites that do look like mine. Is there anyone out there that can clarify this for me? Is there more than one Galileo telescope company? In particular, is there one that is not from India?
The Galileo telescopes I find on vendor site that look the most like mine seem to come with the "Mars Eye Electronic Finderscope." Does anyone have any feedback on that item? Anyone know where I can get one?
