    Dec 21, 2012

Hi, I am new to the site and a total beginner.  That being said, I have a question.

From a scientific point of view, all conspiracy theories aside, what is predicted to happen on Dec 21, 2012?  I have heard:  Orion will line up with the pyramids, the earths axis will tilt or change, or that another galaxy (Andromada?) will appear on the horizon and perhaps pull on our planet causing weather upheval, etc.  So what's the real story?  Thanks!

The real story is that the Sun will rise in the east in the morning, will set in the west in the evening, and continue as before the following day.

There is no science behind the "predictions" of gloom and doom for 2012.
