    Merging? *photo*

    So what do you all think? Are these galaxies merging or unreleated?

    Sorry But because of the image quality I can't even tell if they are galaxies or just stars out of focus.  What galaxies are they suppose to be?  The orange one looks very much like an out of focus star which leads me to believe the others might be as well.

    They could be.  It's an image from Galaxy Zoo.  I'm just trying to do the best possible job and this one stumped me.

     It looks like a zoomed in version of Wikisky which uses DSS data. These objects must be small.

    The red one would be a star. The other two are galaxies. Their colours can be a clue. I'd say the bottom one which is bluer is some sort of spiral. The other could be an elliptical. But it's hard to say. If it is, it's likely to be closer and they aren't colliding.
