    My favourite astronomy movies are:

    1) Contact (1997) with Jodi Foster

    2) Apollo 13 (1995) with Tom Hanks

    event horizon with an honorable mention for contact. i was excited to see contact come to the screen. i had a jr high teacher that gave me a copy of carl sagan's book.

     Probably my all time favorite movie is Mission to Mars. Yeah, it's pretty unrealistic, but i can't help myself
