IS IT POSSIBLE TO SAVE A WWT IMAGE AS A SINGLE FILE?

    Dear folks,

I really want to save some images to study later or to print them so that I can locate some stars in the sky (Now I can spot Ankaa triangle because it is easy to remember and it can be seen clearly in the sky), but is there a way to save a WWT image as an image file (like jpg)?

    Your help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but the use of all caps/upper case letters is often considered to be Rude or inappropriate. It's like unnecessary yelling..

With that said I assume your referring to Microsofts World Wide Telescope.  You can save images. Why you would need to do that I don't know, you can find those images anywhere on the Internet. When copying images you need to be careful of copyrights.

Anyways all you need to do is right click your mouse on the object, then click Research / Imagery / Get DSS Image. You will be prompted to choose a directory to save it to..

sorry, in the first place, for using caps, I thought I would help people see it easily or to draw more attention to be read, and also I think it is a bit cultural too.

Thank you for your help, but when i right click wwt has got its own menu and that usual save as thing doesn't happen. and also, I have never seen venus with a large slice of it cut off and fillings on both poles.

    thanks a lot again

You could print screen and pop the image into Photoshop or paint and save it.

You could also go directly to the source for those images.  Google "Digitized Sky Survey" and you will find them..

This is one place you can find many of them.
