Is anyone familiar Niburu CT?? ,with certain people alledgedly posting genuine images TAKEN BY THE SOUTHERN POLAR TELESCOPE  of an unknown body closing in on Earth onto youtube (subsequently removed) ?/?

Shown as a red disc with satellites.

 According to the CT theorists,this is a  (1) brown dwarf (2) a planet (3) something with a firey trail!,with a huge orbit that takes it inbetween the Earth and the Sun every few thousand years.

This CT is connecting up with 2012 CT (by those who like joining the dots,and who seem to hope for something catacyclismic lol).

According to another source,this 'planet X' is on the ecliptic,in the vicinity of Leo,which would obviously  mean that it is inaccessable to the south pole telescope.

I'd like to hear opinions from astronomers on this site about this.

I myself have been an amateur astonomer for about 25 years,mainly interested in the planetary aspect,and i have personally witnessed 'UFOs'-although they are just that,unidentified.All the same,they defy rational explanation.

• What is so special about the SPT in relation to the "missing" or "redacted" image sections in the Orion region? The Orion region is one of the most heavily studied areas of the sky! So, removing some part of it from image maps is going to prevent researchers from observing whatever might be there?
• YouTube is now a scientifically credible source?

I just asked for some opinions.I think it wrong to insinuate these people are 'mad' and/or 'deluded'.

Maybe in need of something in their lives,yes! I don't at all take CT theories seriously...but maybe there is a little truth in some of it..just a little-even if by chance lol!

My point was that if you read those books you'll learn:

1. Why so many people readily accept such notions and false reasoning.
2. What this Nibiru/2012/Mayan calendar nonsense (it IS nonsense in the strictest meaning of the term) has in common with the other popular delusions.
3. That "popular acceptance" has absolutely nothing at all to do with fact; that is, it neither presuppose nor produces fact.

If there is a little truth to it, then the way to find that truth is to examine the evidence and reasoning. Several of us here have spent a great deal of time looking for evidence and reasoning in these suppositions and have not yet found any.

Your original question was: "Is anyone here familiar with ...?" and the answer is Yes.
