    Last tuning fork images.

With these last three objects, my Tuning fork is complete. However I'm waiting on the FITS files for three of them to be fixed. Here are the last objects.

    M49

RGB of 60 seconds per filter.

    M87

RGBUV of 60 seconds per filter.

The Blazar jet is visible and extra data was added with the UV exposure. Look closely at the two ellipticals and you can see many globular clusters.

    M100

RGB of 90 seconds per filter.

This one caused me trouble. After range masking the picture I had to tidy up around the core. It has a fasinating core that Hubble saw very well. I'm glad it looks O.K. here. The image was neatimage filtered to finish the processing.

This is the last session on FTN for this school year. I have one last session on FTS June 3rd. So I'll guess I'll see you June 4th with more pictures!

I have to agree, M100 is nicely done.

     Just an update.

I measured the jet on M87 with SalsaJ and found it to blast 5085.206 lightyears from the core.

Sorry to revive an old thread but...

M49 and M87 are nice. M100 is beautiful. That gives me something to strive for. Thanks.
