oh, Luna, you are so reflective...

Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone.  It's a glorious night in Indiana, and I wanted to extend my wish for clear skies to you all.  If you aren't doing lunar observations this evening, I hope the moon will set in your location shortly.  Peace, long evenings, and diminished atmospheric distortions to you all!  ~~wave

Welcome to the forum.  You only have to wait a couple of days and the Moon will rise later and later and later.....Hope you get clear skies!

Hi Wave and to the forums. Yes, that Moon that seems to put a damper on my DSO observing each month never seems to get enough of my attention until last evening. It was hot here all day (90s) so a little before sunset I went out and enjoyed the cooler air. Looking at the SE horizon (some 50 miles away), up came the Moon in all its glory. It's reddened face was a sight that kept my attention until it cleared the horizon, when its mystique seem to wane. Sure I should have taken a photo of it but there will be many more for me to enjoy.
