    What did I see?

Hi everyone.  This is my first post on the forum.  I hope someone can help with my question.
Last August, I was in my backyard enjoying the meteor shower.  I live in southern Ontario.

As I was looking up, I saw this 'thing' move slowly across the sky, in a south-westerly direction, and I watched it for several seconds before it disappeared. From my perspective, it looked like it was a few inches long, but the puzzling thing is that it looked like a satellite, as in a typical communications satellite, with solar panels etc.

It can't possibly have been a satellite, could it?  I know there are satellites which orbit relatively low, but even then...

Does anyone know what it may have been?

    Thanks everyone!

It is a very good possibility that it was a Satellite, or could have even been the ISS, Hubble or something else put up there by man.

    Re: What did I see?

Regina - First off, to the forums! The object you saw, assuming it was with the unaided eye, could have been a blimp with a lighted advertisement attached to it. It also could have been a hoaxter's prank device on a helium balloon (closer to the ground).

In any case, it's hard to say without any more details of the sighting what the object actually was. If you have any more details to share with us, it may help to solve the mystery. Mr Q
