Lots of times I do forget to log off and I was wondering if a lot of people do this, does it have any impact on the functioning of the forum (page changing speed, etc.) for those trying to use the forum?

I never log out when I leave the forums, but it doesn't hurt anything at all. Once you leave, your user name will still show in the forums for a little while, but it eventually drops out. So, not logging out doesn't effect the bandwidth at all.  

 I have done this on numerous occasions and it seems that no harm was done

 Thanks Kevin and Doberman - Even though it may not harm the operating of the forum, I still would prefere to log out (if I can remember), just for general principals. Besides, if Big Brother happens to be monitoring the forum, I would'nt want to cause him any unnecessary problems by trying to figure out where I really am. Mr Q
