There's quite a bit of info at Heavensabove and links abound for those interested or worried for some reason about what's happening or going to happen with this satellite.

I've been trying to get a look at it, but the weather won't cooperate and my horizon in the direction it will be coming from isn't the best either, being close to 14000 ft 30 miles away.

Last night put it nearly overhead, but still no joy. Miserable winter skies :(

Well the news is out. About the time of mid-eclipse tomorrow, for those of you lucky enough to have clear skies, the United States Navy will fire a missile to destroy this defunct satellite.

Does anyone have ephemerides or RA/Dec info for tonight for USA 193?

Seems interesting that they might possibly blow it up when folks will be out in numbers to observe the eclipse.

    Thank you sir.

Looks like partly cloudy skies tonight--might give the moon and the top secret satellite a shot.

According to MSNBC the satellite may live to see another day due to heavy weather in the Pacific.

It was intercepted.  Here's a link to a very credible report of re-entry debris observed by a group of people at a lunar eclipse party in British Columbia 18 minutes after intercept time, "Report: USA 193 fragments re-entry observed from Prince George, BC":

    http://www.satobs.org/seesat/Feb-2008/0450.html

Five miles per second times 18 minutes equals 5,400 miles -- seems about right.

I hope they got some imagery!

No lunar eclipse here -- totally overcast.
