    Mpeg to AVI conversion?

    Good Day

I'm using a Philips SPC900NC to image brighter solar system objects. The camera stores these video clips as MPEG. I have not been able to find a way to store them as any other type of file. Am I missing a controll setting somewhere? It seems Registax can not read MPEG, so I need to either save the files as a type registax can read (such as AVI) or convert. Any ideas?

I did a search and found a few pay programs that may or may not help but I was kinda hoping I could find a setting somewhere within my existing software to make this quicker. If not, any conversion software available to do this?

     Thanks
