    questions

    Hi,

I'm planning on building an f/4.7 10" Dob. I've got some questions for those who have answers.

How do I go about successfully finding the correct secondary mirror size?

Which spider is better - spiral or straight?

What are some good eyepieces out there along the lines of the old RKEs?

I've been out of amateur astronomy for @15 years.

    Re: questions

Straight spiders have less total diffraction, that's why professional observatories use them.

Good eyepieces for a scope of that speed would be the Nagler line from Televue.  They have the correction you would be looking for.

Just hit "ignore" when the box comes up, it runs fine after that.

    Eric:

Nope, My Xp home (patched, updated) won't run it.  It must be one of those automatic updates that's gumming up the works.
