Last night was awesome !

I've been checking out Jupiter and trying to get my mount and scope aligned and balanced since switching from the Telrad to an 8X50 RACI which added more weight to my Carbon Fiber eq80 refractor. I'd already added more weight to my balancing bar and for visual this is proving to be the key, now it is ready Jupiter looked amazing in the dark sky and had tracked it with the motor for a while almost 2 min. in a 4mm ep. Banding , polar caps and no GRS to be seen. I stayed on target trying to pull everything I could pull out of this Planet with a 3-6mm zoom, I even caught "Metis" right up on this gas giant. WOOHOO 23,000 mi. from the surface along with 3 other Galilean moons.
