There was a giant horseshoe shaped solar filament visible on the Sun on Saturday, November 14, 2015. This filament erupted on November 15th, producing a CME. It is now gone.
This image was taken with a Coronado Solarmax 90 double-stacked h-alpha telescope, 2X barlow, and a PGR Grasshopper 3 camera. More images on my website at www.mborman.org .
