Taken by Mike Borman of Evansville, Indiana. A large tree shaped prominence and a looping prominence was visible on the limb of the Sun. Details: Televue 102iis refractor, Coronado SM90 h-alpha filter with BF30, PGR Grasshopper 3 camera. Separate exposures for the disk and prominences. More images on my website www.mborman.org .
