Rosette and NGC 2244 in HaLRGB

An object often photographed is this region full of ionized hydrogen dubbed the Rosette Nebula. Inside the nebula sits the 5 million year-old open cluster NGC 2244. The cluster and the nebula are around 130 light years in diameter and roughly 5200 light years from earth.
