The Christmas Tree Cluster (NGC 2264) in Monoceros

NGC 2264 is sometimes referred to as the Christmas Tree Cluster ,Cone Nebula and Fox Fur Nebula. It is an emission Nebula at a distance of 2600 light years in Monoceros. The upper part of the image shows the so-called Fox Fur which is above the 4.6 magnitude central star.
