The Pelican's Nape 2014

This image is a close-up view of the Pelican nebula, aka IC5067. IC5067 is an emission star forming nebula in the constellation Cygnus 1,800 light-years distant. This image contains several interesting objects known as Herbig-Haro objects. These objects are formed by the shock waves created when a star is born.
