Let me start off by telling you guys how fascinated I was at our skies and universe. To this day, I remember visiting a planetarium during an elementary school field trip and getting goosebumps by how great the universe was! I promised myself that I would like to explore this "world" outside of earth.
Unfortunately, my promise met a bump when the stress and business factors of life came into play. So, I had set aside these dreams and became a full time law enforcement official, professional pianist (Mainly classical music: Chopin, Rachmaninoff, etc.) and college student.
At the beginning of this past semester, I noticed that 'Astronomy' was one of my required classes for an A.A. in Music, so of course I was thrilled!
Now that I have an excuse (to the wife) to purchase a telescope, I went and broke my wallet on a Orion XT10i. So we will see how that goes!
So, that being said, I am very new to this site and hope that I can learn alot from all you experienced amateur astronomers...
