Who will be around longer?
Posted by anndromeda on Sunday, February 16, 2014 12:28 AM

I had recently watched Enders Game and it got me thinking, what species (humen, alien, or other) do u think will be around longer just because of their abality to reproduce better and not be terminated so easily by other aliens, us, etc. depending on your point of view. So do u think bisexual (us),  asexual (beings), or how it was in Enders Game, aliens with a hive queen that reproduces the colony (kinda like insects do) will have better odds of being around longer? I personally feel asexual beings will be around longer... Let me knw what u think in the comments below.

                  Who do you think, anndromedaAlien

P:S dnt forget to rate the comment in the above row of stars!

Well, on earth it will probably be algae or some other boring marine life, but what makes you so sure life exists elsewhere in the universe? Have you seen any?

Why wouldn't there be other intellegent life? We just haven't found it yet! Besides this is if there were.... and appearently u and I both have the same oppinion even though u chose an asexual organism and I chose an asexual intelligent life form.Alien

No.

Hive insects do not reproduce asexually.  They reproduce sexually but do so only once which provides enough DNA for the queen to produce eggs for her lifetime.

All higher animals reproduce sexually.  This seems to be nature's way to move evolution along.  Single cell organisms have remained essentially unchanged for millenia.  Of course viruses and bacteria mutate constantly but they do not become more 'advanced' or change their evolutionary path as easily as animalia forms of life.
