The Brightest Star?

What's the brightest extrasolar star?  Well, it's not Sirius, at least not in the ultraviolet, but it does lie nearby, in a manner of speaking.

I've always thought that Sirius was the brightest but, since seeing the link you posted ultra violet is the exception. Thanks Dave
