My petition for Obama admin to develop a Tracy or beam to remove space debris from orbit.

Space debris had been a growing problem since the dawn of space exploration. The film "Gravity" had highlighted the realistic dangers posed by space debris on astronauts and other equipments.

Because of that, we sincerely hope that Mr Obama will try to secure funding and resources, and begin the development of a specialized tractor beam that will remove space debris from orbit, and make them to undergo destructive reentry in the atmosphere, in order to reduce the risks posed by these high speed junks.

Sorry, but if such a thing is ever devised they will try their best to keep it classified for decades. They'd rather have accidents because of space junk than disclose this sort of thing. Might even already exist and not be shown to the public.

Political comments are against forum policy, as any long-term member should be well aware, and the one made as the final sentence of this post was removed accordingly.
