Posted by DaveMitsky on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 8:55 PM

Today is the 75th anniversary of the Mercury Theater On the Air's broadcast of The War of the Worlds. The Sirius XM Radio Classics channel broadcast the historic program earlier this evening. It will be aired again tomorrow at 10:00 p.m. EDT and on Saturday at 12:00 a.m. EDT.

Orson Welles and his famous production was the subject of today's episode of StarDate.
