"60 Minutes," a news program in the USA, featured a segment on Khan Academy, which offers free education and lessons to anyone in the world with access to the internet.

They have quite a list of classes in astronomy as well as other sciences, math, humanities, economics, etc. It's one more resource to try, whether you're struggling to learn a concept or just interested in learning something new.

We watched that segment on "60 Minutes." It is really impressive what Mr. Khan and Mr Gates have done. When watching I was reminded of the "Understanding the Universe" course from the Teaching Company I bought years ago. If it can be paused and/or if I can rewind it enough times I can finally grasp most concepts. I will look into this further. Thanks for that link!

Rhonda, I've registered too; I finished only two lessons but already earned two badges.
StarFarmer, I've taken several of the Teaching Company's courses too--anything I can pause and go over several times without annoying others is a good thing. I managed to borrow them from the library, as those courses can be pricey.
