T3i vs T1i Dark Noise

Recently I did some testing of 2 image capture utilities in this link:


Having read of the Canon T3i's low dark noise I decided to go out and purchase one. Here are some screen shots of the Dark frame noise of both cameras. 30 dark frames at ISO 1600 of 30 seconds each combined into master darks. I shot both JPG and RAW images for comparison.

Now I did Raw testing.

From this test I think the T3i is quite a bit less noisy than the T1i. Not so noticeable in the raw images but outstanding with the JPG's.
