Need advice on a DSLR camera I saw on Amazon.

I saw a canon 10D DSLR camera on amazon for $40 it says body only, no lenses. Can I use this type of camera with a T-adaptor and use the telescope as the lens? Also is this a good deal or should I keep looking?

Yes you can use it with a T-adaptor when you get the proper T-ring to match.  The 10D is pretty dated. But it will work.  $40.00 seems like a bargain at first glance but there are later models available for not a lot more.

Thank you.  I'll keep looking for a newer model then. Until then I'll keep using my little Kodak E-Z digital. I downloaded RegiSatx 6 and the latest upgrade from their web site. I'll have to practice using the software.  Maybe I'll go out and take a few videos during the day and use to practice with.  Thanks again

Do a google search for refurbished Canon DSLR.  Should find a fair deal and possibly even get some kind of a warranty.

Ebay works well.  So does Craig's List

Keithkirk, have you considered a Canon 1000D Digital Rebel?  It has low noise, live view mode which is really very handy for focusing, and can be had for cheap on Ebay.  It does an outstanding job and can be modified later if you want for relatively low cost.  I've been using it with a Nikkor 180mm ED lens with a fotodiox adapter with great results.
